Youth Of Lewis County

Peer Services For Youth

Youth Peer Advocates

Youth Peer Advocates (YPAs) assist young people aged 14-21 facing challenges related to disabilities, mental health, substance use, juvenile justice, special education, and foster care. They offer formal and informal support in homes, schools, workplaces, and social settings, helping to build resilience and well-being. Their relatability fosters trust, encouraging youth to seek help and guidance.

About Us

Youth of Lewis County was founded by a group of passionate youth and youth service provider employees who identified a significant gap in youth-focused services within Lewis County. While working closely with young people in the community, they recognized that many youth services were either fragmented or provided by agencies in surrounding counties. Driven by a shared vision to create a dedicated organization to address these unmet needs, the group collaborated with key organizations and individuals to launch Youth of Lewis County.

Let’s Nurture the Well-being and Cultivate a Brighter Future for Lewis County Youth.

“The power of youth is the common wealth for the entire world. The faces of young people are the faces of our past, our present and our future. No segment in the society can match with the power, idealism, enthusiasm and courage of the young people.”
